 Bronkhorst: the smallest town of Holland

On the southern shore of the river IJssel in the region Gelderland (about 70 km from Düsseldorf and 130 from Amsterdam), rises Bronkhorst which with its approximately 150 inhabitants is the smallest city of Holland. Born at the foot of the castle of the Lords of Bronkhorst, who in the Middle Ages were a powerful and influential family of landowners, today the town preserves the chapel and a number of homes with the facade steps and inlaid wood, while the castle, the walls of walls and channels citizens are almost completely disappeared.

A Bronkhorst deserves a visit Dickens museum that collects books and articles related to the curious life and works of English writer Charles Dickens in an original farm town.
