The list of French museums
Four great Parisian museums - the Louvre, Orsay, the Pompidou Centre, Guimet-remain as predictable leading the annual journal of Arts French edition. New entry for Roubaiz with his “Swimming Pool” at the top of the standings. These museums occupy Parisians like last year the first four positions of this ranking, which was drawn up annually for the past five years using criteria such as how welcoming the public, initiatives and policies of conservation.
The museum is Brainly head for the reception of the public (closures later in the evening, access for disabled, young audience, cards explanation), the Louvre for the dynamism (number of works on show, exhibitions, conferences, resturi) and Museum of Modern Art Centre Pompidou for the preservation of books (number of employees, and works lent acquired).
Referring to the initiative of the first half of the entrance free, the newspaper noted that “free does not necessarily mean greater frequency,” with a “slowdown” in the number of visits to museums in Paris free since 2001.
