Caribbean dangerous for tourists?

More than 40 million visitors traveling in the Caribbean each year and nearly all do so without major incidents. If the traveler is aware of often extreme poverty on the islands, the fact that tourism is the main source of entry and spread of increasingly alarming problems related to drugs and alcohol, then it will be easier to adopt behaviors that restrict the full risk of travel in these paradises.
