Adventures that will Thrill you

Thrill is something like spice in life. I think that if there is no thrill, then life becomes mundane and lethargic. Those who crave thrills and adventures live life to the fullest. But, if thrilling activities like skiing, diving, and the similar adventures don’t excite you to a great extent, and you are now fed up of doing these, then I think you need to try out some more precarious adventures.

Incredible adventures can provide with opportunities that you have never ever experienced. It does not deal in activities like base-jumping or diving from the sky, which seem mundane to adventurous people. It rather caters to your self which wants something new all the time. You may have fun in the company of sharks -the gigantic water creatures, and have a bizarre experience. What about flying L-39 fighter, of course with help of experts? It seems interesting, isn’t it? Or you may also choose to drive a race car.

I found all these activities extremely thrilling and exciting. You can also go for actually realizing many more wild adventurous imaginations.

China: Artists Promoting Tourism

Monday, August 20th, 2007

These days, China is witnessing a major shift in the profession of artists. They are increasingly changing their profession from art to tourism. It broadly means that now their work means an amalgam of art and food. They are actually emerging as restaurateurs.

Some of such restaurants or cafes are Qu Nar, Tian Xia Yan, and South Silk Road. All these restaurants in Beijing are the major highlights of the town these days.

china tourism

South Silk Road is in Soho New Town. It is a fabulous restaurant made for the leisure of high-class art- lovers. Beautiful waitresses in bright uniforms serve delicious food. The black furniture also adds beauty to the artistic environment.

Qu Nar is planned and owned by an artist called Mr. Ai, whose restaurant is a perfect place for his fellowmen to relax and dine. The owner is of view that the restaurant is not making much profit because of lack of promotion. But, in my opinion, it is one of the best restaurants, with an exclusive ambience.

I think that it is a nice way of promoting tourism, and encouraging art-lovers to have a different taste.

Qantas All Set For Cut-Throat Competition

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

The Australian airline Qantas is confident of achieving success amid the cut- throat competition. The airline declared the profits before tax of $1,032 million for the year 2007. The profit after the tax has also been mind-blowing with the figure of $720 million. There has been a boost of a 53.8 per cent from the earlier year. The company is elated at the grand success and is optimistic about similar and higher rates of profit in the coming years.

Many other carriers are obstacles in the direction of success. Air Asia X and Tiger Airways may prove to be significant competitors because of the lower and affordable costs. The Middle East hub carriers may also take away a large share of the customers of Qantas. But, the Australian leviathan is undaunted because of the heavy advance bookings for the year 2008.

Geoff Dixon, the CEO of Qantas, is sure of a higher rate of profits for the coming year. The organization has an edge over the competitors due to the two-brand strategy which has come out with flying colors. Qantas can easily engulf the domestic market with the largest share of all, while Jetstar has come out with a huge triumph in the overseas.

Thus, the Australian airline does not have to worry about the increasing competition as it can prove to be dominant with its pragmatic strategies and can make an effective endeavor to capture the global market.

Alternative Fuel For The Airlines

Alternative Fuel For The Airlines

It is an interesting news that the U.S.A. has tested and approved an alternative fuel for the airplanes, and has thereby made an effective endeavour to diminish its dependence on the countries of the Middle-East for their vast reserves of oil. Oil or petroleum is the sole benefactor of the nations in Middle-East and because of possessing huge deposits of oil, these countries have become an object of envy for all those nations who crave for it. Due to the shortage of oil, most of the developed nations of the world, have to derisdate for petroleum, without which every nation today will come to a stand-still.

A synthetic fuel has recently been approved by the U.S. The fuel would be used for the first time in Boeing B-52H bombers with the vast 8 engines. After this has been successfully done, another military plane that will use this alternative fuel is the Boeing C-17 cargo and troop carrier. The research has been done by various experts. The specialists are analysing each report and are making assiduous efforts in this direction, according to Michael Wynne, who is the Secretary,Air Force.

It is not some process that has recently been discovered. The process for making this fuel is named as Fischer-Tropsch which evolved in Germany in the earlier half of the 20th century. This was used in the 2nd World War due to the shortage of gasoline. It was also utilised by South Africa during the days of apartheid.

It is actually the process of converting coal into gas and refining it into an artificial kerosene with low quantity of sulfur.

But, something alarming has come to be noticed by the researchers, and it is something worth analysing. The fuel thus produced, does not produce the same or more amount of energy as has been spent in the process of manufacturing it. This, in my opinion, explains a partial failure of all the efforts being made in this direction. But, in case of emergency, the U.S. may produce the synthetic fuel because it possesses coal and gas in ample reseves.

It may after some time come out to be an effective way for biomass- producing fuel out of dung, corn, sugar and the similar things. Lets hope that the efforts come out with bright colors.
