The beaches of surfers, Tapia de Casariego in Asturias, Spain
Saturday, June 28th, 2008
The British have the Prince of Wales and the Spanish Prince of Asturias, title all’erede it is the throne of the Kingdom of Spain. For the rest there are many other similarities between Wales and Asturias principality in northern Spain, close between Galicia and Cantabria, which overlooks the Atlantic.
Here is Tapia de Casariego well known to surfers that, I must admit, can choose good places to go to practice their sport and spend beautiful holidays contact with nature (here has stopped the world championship surfing). The country has transformed from fishing village to tourist resort, especially in summer frequented by young lovers and sea.
They are in fact different beaches that alternate to the cliffs, like Playa de Anguileiro, El Figu, Playa La Paloma, Playa Mexota (frequented by nudists) or Playa Penarronda, just to make a few examples. In addition to the festivities associated with saints, which also we Italians are accustomed to, here during the holy week of August is taken into the European championship surfing and gastronomic festival of the sea.
