The Other Facet of Athens

The Other Facet of Athens

Athens-a place in Greece, which is considered as the fount of knowledge, and a great repository of culture, is also famous for one thing, about which I recently came to know. The place is a wonderful place for travelers especially because of the marvelous museums, and exclusive pieces of art. I recently got the information that it is also famous for one of the most popular meat-markets around. I have never visited such a meat-market in Greece earlier. I was really amazed to see it. You can just have a view of the way in which pigs are hanged. It seems as if they are alive. They will grunt, roll their eyes. But, you immediately realize that they are not alive.

I wonder how people kill animals for exclusivity of taste. I am a votary of vegetarian food as far as possible. I believe that the flora and fauna of our earth are precious and cannot be replaced or substituted. So, I think that we should practice abstinence in this matter, if we can do so without difficulty. Well, this is just an opinion.

I was also surprised to notice the gender difference prevalent in these cafes which have transformed themselves into meat-markets. As you can also see that there is hardly any woman in this picture. I could find none. You tell me, what are your views regarding the ‘invisibility’ of women at places of such kind?

Nine Zero is part of the chain of hotels called Kimpton, which provides a stay full of leisure, luxury , and claims to use eco-friendly products for the maintain the ecological balance. The hotel is near the Beacon Hill area of Boston and provides services which are really delightful.

Nine Zero

The hotel designed in an exquisite manner and possesses a total of 190 rooms, and 19 stories. Floorings of exclusive marble, wood work and bold designs are a highlight of the hotel. The sitting area is so delightful that you would not feel like leaving it in mornings and evenings.
What I liked the most about the style of the hotel is that each room is provided with an “In-Room Mind, Body, Spa” guide, which directs you to do different poses of yoga.

The rooms are designed for the utmost comfort of the tourists with large beds, and elegant furniture. A mini-bar is also available in every room for the comfort of the guests. The bathrooms are also delicately designed. They are vast in size and have all the modern equipments like showers which are glass-enclosed. The marble floors also add to the beauty of the rooms and bathrooms.

A gym is also there in the hotel for ensuring a better health. The restaurant is claimed to be one of the best among the lot. If you plan a vacation to Boston, then think about this hotel for a luxurious stay.

Revels in Lebanon

Lebanon is again beaming with life and vibrancy with loads of tourists visiting this wonderful place. It seems that conditions are now normal after the combat between Hezbollah and Israel that took lace last year. The condition was baleful and had led to many casualties. Some time ago, it was felt that even this year, the beaches and resorts of the place would not experience the feel of visitors, but the scene is completely altered now. It may be that the travel-freaks are unable to resist the charm and attraction of the clubs, resorts and beaches of the place.

The tourism is now being promoted with utmost attention so as to attract more and more tourists who will revitalize the land with a new freshness. Many concerts, fashion shows, and other similar events are being organized for the travelers.
Damour, Rue Gemayze and Rue Monot, and all other tourist destination are now full of revelers who are ready to immerse themselves in enjoyment, fun and frolic.

The climate is favorable there …every kind of climate, that is, the political, regional, and also the economical. I also went there recently to spend some time and had a lot of fun. The resorts are simply exciting and offer leisure and the stay there is absolutely pleasurable.

I would advice you too to go there and have a merry time.

Beaches are the best place to have fun and frolic. The lovers of the sea find a solace like that of an abode at beaches. I love going to beaches, spend time and have some enjoyment for the weekend. Sitting near a beach on a lonely evening is just like being in heaven. It seems as if you are in the lap of nature. I keep on looking for different beaches. You can consider it a hobby. I was glad to know that a new roaster of top ten beaches has been sorted out by two most renowned personalities related with travel. Miranda Krestovnikoff, who is the broadcaster of BBC series Coast, has in a great effort, along with a professional beachcomber named Cathy Yow.

These two have made a list of the best beaches in the world which are the perfect places for hunting the washed up particles. Isn’t it exciting? I found it really interesting.

The beaches which occupy the top three positions are easy to guess for anyone who loves beaches and is keen on exploration. These are Runswick Bay in North Yorkshire , the Newgale beach of Pembrokeshire , and the famous beach of Devon- the beach named Westwood Ho!
The entire list is interesting. It is available online. So, what are you waiting for? Plan your next weekend to one of these wonderful beaches! Enjoy travel!

Brasov- A Popular Tourist Destination

Romania is a popular name for all those who love to travel at places which have historical importance. Brasov is a town in Romania, which has acclaimed to be one of the most popular tourist destinations. It is an exclusive land which offers the tourists, a comfortable sojourn and also the experience that they have never ever witnessed before.

Having the status of an ancient medieval city, Brasov has to offer the sights of historically interesting events. It is a place full of historical monuments which are really a treasure for those who cherish the old civilizations. The Transylvanian region provides food for thought as the architecture is too overwhelming. The gothic churches and the antique buildings of the city are exclusive and worth visiting. The surroundings are beautiful in their own right.

The winter resort- Poiana Brasov is 13 kms away from Brasov. It is a favorite place for those who love to enjoy snow and ice. It is full of travelers who enjoy a lot through ice-skating and sleigh-rides. The summers are also interesting here with tennis-courts, boating, and trekking.
In my opinion, the city provides a mixed experience of history and modern technology.
