Iran and Skiing…Quite Strange!

Iran is a place that I would always love to go as a travel-freak. It is a country close to nature and culture both. Besides, the civilization also offers interesting things that you will always like to know. The country is blessed with exclusive sites for tourist-attraction, while the culture of the place is very pleasant and exciting for a new-comer.

But, recently I came to know a fact about the beautiful country, and this thing was really unusual for me to know about Iran. Skiing in Iran? It is the last possible thing that I could ever think about this place. I was really surprised to know that this country where sun shines on the head also enjoys the privilege of having ski slopes that have the status of being the highest ones in the world. Exciting and surprising? It really is…

Alboraz mountain range is a beautiful range covered with snow and ice. It is a fantabulous place for skiing and enjoying the chilly breeze.

This is something that I thought would make you wonder about the diversities of the place. What do you think?

Colosseum- Huge Crowd Expected

Rome- one of the most reknown places in the world because of its history and culture, is also famous for one other reason. Colosseum claims itself to be one of the places in rome which attracts vast crowds of tourists. It is really an incredibly beautiful place. It is actually so overwhelming that the very pleasure of being able to witness it is inexpressible.

You all know that it has been listed as one of the 7 Wonders Of the World. This has also led to its popularity even more. This year, it is expected that around 5 million tourists will visit this major attraction of rome. Visisting the very old seat arena established by the king Titus in 80 CE is one of the experiences that travelers are crazy about. It is really a monument that deserves respect and admiration.

In order to provide easy access to the tickets to Colosseum, the tourism has decided to provide online services. Now, the eager tourists can buy their tickets online so as to avoid troublesome ques.

You may also take tickets at the Palatine Hill which is not so popular among tourists, and therefore has a little crowd. The combined ticket is worth it as it enables you an entry to the Palatine Hill in addition to the museum and archaeological remains.

Amish people in Jamesport

Jamesport

It is really surprising to know that Amish population which is usually a part of Pennsylvania and Lancaster country also resides in the Midwest. I did not know this earlier and was amazed to know that the inhabitants of pristine Jamesport are actually the Amish people.

Jamesport

Jamesport is a very beautiful place in the north-west of Missouri. It is a land which is close to nature in every single way. The greenery and the breeze of the place are just overwhelming.

What is more stunning is that even in this modern era of industry and technology, these people who belong to the “old order” of the Amish population, prefer to be as close to nature as possible. These people deliberately live in simple and natural way, far from the hustle-bustle of the chaotic life that we usually have. That is in my opinion the beauty of this place. The people here avoid using electricity, technology for various equipments, and also automobiles.

This is the picture of Arbor House Country Inn. If you want to travel to a place which is simple and plain, then it is a perfect paradise. This can be a wonderful holiday to enjoy the beauty of surroundings without disturbance from artificiality of city-life.

Royal Residence at Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai

Royal residence can be called as the hot bed of luxury and uniqueness. It is a special suit, designed in a special way, for special people.
The designing of the suit is a blend of Royal architecture of Lanna and the northern Thai palace. It consists of beautifully made and huge personal pavillions which have 3 gigantic beds, swimming pools. Grand piano, bar, open-air places, dining room and so on.

The Royal residence is a perfect sojorn for the members of royalty visiting from abroad, VIPs, and renown people who want to retain their secrecy and have a comfortable break from the outside world. The sauna and the personal Jacuzzis add to the luxury of the place with 3 sumptous swimming-pools. The lotus pond also adds to the beauty of the suit.

The wood carving tradition is also a highlight of the place. The decoration of the exteriors and interiors are overwhelming. They are full of beautiful apsaras, exclusive birds, and animals. Kansas’ Flint Hills

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

All of us think that prairie is a region of cornfields, the grass lands of this green land don’t possess hills according to the misconception that most of us have. You would be delighted to know that Travel writer Rolf Potts has declared the hills here to be one of the ten spots to visit in America.

Kansas’ Flint Hills

The greenery and the beautiful hills are just enticing. The Cottonwood Falls is a beautiful and serene place for travel. The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve that is 1 or 2 kms. Above the Cottonwood Falls is a remarkable place to be seen. It preserves the illustration of the tall grass that used to spread over the 400,000 square miles of this land, but is now about to be extinct.

The tourism provides three bus-tours which take the tourists into this treeless land- the land of grasses.

It is an exciting experience for all those who love green atmosphere and silence. The strange insects and bugs also add an extra-dimension to this tour. It was really lovely to witness the beauty of this grassland.
