Holiday Travel Beautiful beaches of Corsica which may contendersi the Holiday Travel most beautiful of the island, and the Mediterranean, and among these beach Saleccia (for the French-plage de Saleccia), in north-west of the island, not far from Saint Florent.

The beach used as a location for filming the movie The longest day of 1962, movie told allied landing in Normandy, is located inside the protected zone Desert des Agriates that incredibly (from the website Group Environment Trekking The Towers):means “cultivated fields.” Incredible to say, but until 1600 was the granary of Genovesi. The beach is accessible by sea (in summer even with the ferry departing from Saint Florent) or by land along the sterrati suitable only for off-road and trakkers many choose to get to the beautiful beach of Loto with the ferry from Sain Florent and reach Saleccia walk (about 1 or 2 hours depending on the trekkers).

The water is turquoise and the beach, almost a kilometer long, is not very popular because of the difficulty to get there. What we also stands among the pines that run wild behind the dunes of the beach certain that we must be well organized, given the total absence of human structures (hopefully for a long time yet) in the surroundings.
