E ‘ninth edition of the annual competition of the Washington Post on photos of travel. But the novelty of this is that finally you can send photos by e-mail, which makes it easier to send their shots. The rules are simple no more than one photo per person, theme trips, photos taken between 2007 and 2008.

Missing about 3 weeks to achieve the step, if already do not have one available, because the deadline is July 25. For any additional details, see the newspaper. The prize at stake is a digital camera to the winner. But attention to the clauses because the photos submitted become the property of the Washington Post that will basically make what he wants!

The Region of Liguria sponsors Award Chatwin 2008, dedicated to the great English writer and traveler.

Walking for the world, this is the title of the event, is an important international competition dedicated to reportage travel and a festival, to be held in Genoa from November 26 to 29.

The Award Chatwin, appointment indispensable for travellers and lovers of literature travel, provides three sections: video (Large travel for professionals, Walking the world for non-professionals and Love without borders for evidence of volunteerism around the world), and narrative photography (Images from the world to tell a trip to five shots and a land to discover that tells of Liguria castles, manors and fortifications in five shots).

There is time until October 20 to send video, photos and stories, which will be judged by a jury chaired by director Paolo Virzì. The prizes to the winners (are winning the first three winners of each category) will be delivered during the last day of the Festival: prize trips to Australia, Jordan, on the Red Sea, Hong Kong and in other places.
