From August, the U.S. Airways offirirà no more free drinks to its passengers, Business Travel, For Air ,United States

We, doubt is resolved and agencies will have to bet begin paying those who had bet on U.S. Airways. It is those company, the first among the majors, to pay its passengers 2 U.S. dollars for the drinks, for all beverages.

Indeed you are not talking about super-simple alcohol or alcohol as beer, for which it was already introduced this extra, you’re talking about pay in order to drink a coke, you or even a simple coffee. Say, does nothing because we bring drinks from home? Eye on flights, however, that the new U.S. anti-terrorism regulation makes it impossible to bring with it any liquid.

The economic situation for U.S. airlines must be severe, if after having introduced a lot of extra (second baggage, the first baggage, snacks, meals in air, alcoholic beverages,…) are now forced to pay 2 dollars for a Coke. Marketing explained this decision as a new policy of pay-per-use (you pay only what one consumes or uses), so the next bet, arrived at this point, is what will be the first company to charge for use and toiletry items.

Have a look at Falling leaves

Friday, September 14th, 2007

It has always been wonderful to see the nature in its transformation stage. I keep a track of the change in seasons so that I get opportunity to view the changes in nature with an alert gaze. I know that all nature-lovers will love to do that. The flora of a region looks different in every season. These are amazing to look at, and you can never buy such experience even with tonnes of money. The very memories of the sights are valuable.

The leaves are not yet showing a change in color, but I am sure that you will find them transformed in a week’s time. The beauty of the plants and trees will then be inexpressible. Almost all the regions in the U.S. will experience the majesty of nature with the flush of red adorning the foliage. The scenery will look sumptuous and exclusive. The shades will bring a fount of glow within you.

This season, try and view the landscape by a train journey, and I assure you that you will feel the bliss. The railway network of the U.S. covers large parts of dazzling surroundings in the fall.

You can have many options. Some of them are:
The Fall Foliage Trains in New Hampshire, the Berkshire Scenic Railroad in Massachusetts, the Catskill Mountain Railroad in New York, and Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in North Carolina. These are only a few which have coverage for the fall foliage. There are many more.

I would sincerely suggest you to grasp the opportunity to view the beauty of nature this season.

Alternative Fuel For The Airlines

Alternative Fuel For The Airlines

It is an interesting news that the U.S.A. has tested and approved an alternative fuel for the airplanes, and has thereby made an effective endeavour to diminish its dependence on the countries of the Middle-East for their vast reserves of oil. Oil or petroleum is the sole benefactor of the nations in Middle-East and because of possessing huge deposits of oil, these countries have become an object of envy for all those nations who crave for it. Due to the shortage of oil, most of the developed nations of the world, have to derisdate for petroleum, without which every nation today will come to a stand-still.

A synthetic fuel has recently been approved by the U.S. The fuel would be used for the first time in Boeing B-52H bombers with the vast 8 engines. After this has been successfully done, another military plane that will use this alternative fuel is the Boeing C-17 cargo and troop carrier. The research has been done by various experts. The specialists are analysing each report and are making assiduous efforts in this direction, according to Michael Wynne, who is the Secretary,Air Force.

It is not some process that has recently been discovered. The process for making this fuel is named as Fischer-Tropsch which evolved in Germany in the earlier half of the 20th century. This was used in the 2nd World War due to the shortage of gasoline. It was also utilised by South Africa during the days of apartheid.

It is actually the process of converting coal into gas and refining it into an artificial kerosene with low quantity of sulfur.

But, something alarming has come to be noticed by the researchers, and it is something worth analysing. The fuel thus produced, does not produce the same or more amount of energy as has been spent in the process of manufacturing it. This, in my opinion, explains a partial failure of all the efforts being made in this direction. But, in case of emergency, the U.S. may produce the synthetic fuel because it possesses coal and gas in ample reseves.

It may after some time come out to be an effective way for biomass- producing fuel out of dung, corn, sugar and the similar things. Lets hope that the efforts come out with bright colors.
